Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our equipment rental team. The Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a strong background in general ledger accounting, financial analysis, and financial management, maintenance of equipment loans. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage account reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Supervise accounts payable functions, to make sure invoices are in the system in a timely manner so that payments can be released. Overseeing and sometime working in the accounts receivable role. Like posting checks and making collection efforts. Maintaining and reconciling bank accounts and all loans, working with CPA closely.
- Maintain compliance with public accounting standards and internal policies.
- Collaborate with other partners to support budget preparation and forecasting.
- Implement and maintain effective financial software systems for improved efficiency.
- Provide guidance and training to accounting members on best practices in accounting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting and financial management.
- Strong skills in financial report writing and presentation.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation processes and debits/credits management.
- Experience in public accounting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with various financial software applications.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
