Traveling Construction Superintendent - Mission Critical
We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to support construction management for the GBA Builders Mission Critical. This superintendent will have the full support of the project manager while exercising autonomy in day-to-day operations. Successful candidates will be team players who is self-motivated and willing to jump in and assist where needed, adding value by offering thoughtful solutions and project efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide coordination and supervision of design-build and bid-build projects in mission critical facilities such as tele data switch centers and data centers
- Collaboration with clients, design team and contractors for project success
- Build/maintain jobsite culture of Safety First
- Quality Control/Quality Assurance
- Daily coordination and management of subcontractors and jobsite logistics
- Collect, review and submit shop drawings, product data, test reports, etc.
- Build/update construction schedule and look ahead schedules
- Review estimates with operations team to ensure logistical/site considerations are included
- Author and execute M.O.P.s (Method of Procedure)
- Complete daily/weekly reports and maintain photo journal of progress
Requirements:
- Degree in construction management preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years experience in construction management/supervision.
- Experience in the construction of critical facility environments is preferred
- Partnership approach to working with contractors, designers and clients.
- MS Office Suite knowledge and excellent computer skills
- Proficient in MS Project
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team
- Self-motivation with good time management skills
