Senior FP&A Analyst
At GBA, we are seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst who is responsible for providing strategic financial insights by analyzing complex financial data, creating comprehensive financial models, forecasting future trends, and collaborating with various business units to support decision-making, while acting as a key business partner with a deep understanding of the company's operations and financial performance. As we continue to grow, we are seeking experience in developing budgets and forecasts, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), building out data structure, investigating variances, and presenting actionable recommendations.
Essential Functions:
- Budget and Planning: Assist the annual budgeting process, working with cross-functional teams to develop accurate budget forecasts and monitor performance against established targets.
- Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Construct detailed financial models to project future revenue, expenses, and profitability, including scenario analysis and "what-if" scenarios to assess potential risks and opportunities.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze financial performance against budget and identify key drivers of variances, providing in-depth explanations and recommendations for improvement.
- Data Integrity and Automation: Ensure data accuracy and consistency by reviewing and improving data collection processes, potentially utilizing automation tools to streamline reporting. Assist in the build out of database structure to allow for automation and streamlining.
- Reporting and Data Visualization: Prepare comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to effectively communicate key financial insights to senior management. Utilize PowerBI to automate reports.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with various business units to understand their financial needs, provide strategic financial advice, and support decision-making.
- Trend Analysis: Identify emerging trends and patterns in financial data to anticipate future challenges and opportunities. Stay up to date on trends outside of the company including markets, the economy and industry benchmarking to provide actionable insights to leaders.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or related field, with 7 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis
Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to work closely with senior management to drive change and positive business results.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and understanding of complex databases.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex financial information.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, including their interactions.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of key business drivers.
