Essential Functions:
- Support the Implementation, Configuration and Maintenance of Aspen IP.21 Systems, including Life Cycle Management of the PIMS Architecture
- Provide end user support including:
- Basic IP.21 user training
- Development of Reports, support with Excel add-ins, Trend development, development of ASPEN Graphics
- Providing data access to relevant systems
- Modifications to the ASPEN IP.21 configuration, including addition of new tags and modification of existing tags.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including design specifications and project reports
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Ensure that all projects meet regulatory requirements, best practices, and industry standards
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve engineering processes and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Technical Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of PIMS (Process Information Management Systems) preferably Aspen IP.21
- Experience leading engineering projects and initiatives
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Process Controls experience is a plus
- Experience integrating PIMS systems with various other OT Systems (ex. Automation / Controls systems).
- Experience working with OPC communication is preferred
- Experience with SQL is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Walking around the site.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel:
- Local to Mobile AL area.
