- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including billing, accounts receivable, franchise accounting, inventory, accounts payable, and general ledger.
- Implement and maintain a system of internal controls that will ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, and special analyses.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and year-end close processes.
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
- Coordinate with the external tax firm and/or prepare tax schedules, returns, and information. Ensure the timing filing of all state and local sales & use and excise taxes.
- Manage the budget reporting process, including analysis and reporting variances of actuals versus budget.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
- Leverage the NetSuite ERP to improve processes and implement automation focus solutions into day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Champion process automation, scalability, and technology adoption across the finance function to support rapid organizational growth.
- Partner cross-functionally to align financial systems and reporting with evolving business needs and expansion strategies.
- Anticipate the financial and operational needs of a scaling business, designing workflows and controls that evolve with growth.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, contributing to broader business initiatives and long-term planning.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent understanding of GAAP, financial reporting and financial analysis.
- Expertise in ERP systems, particularly NetSuite.
- Proficient in data analysis and financial forecasting.
- Experience with state taxes in a multi-state environment.
- Demonstrate a track record of business process improvement producing tangible efficiencies and automations.
- Demonstrated success operating in a high-growth, fast-changing environment.
- Ability to thrive amid ambiguity, shifting priorities, and lean resource models.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of leadership experience in accounting or finance.
- 3 years of experience as a Controller.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP is required. 5 years preferred.
- CMA or CPA certification preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- This position operates in a professional office environment.
