Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring that our shipping and receiving processes run smoothly, contributing to overall operational success.

Responsibilities

The following is a list of duties and responsibilities, this is not all inclusive list:

• Load / unload trucks
• Operate warehouse equipment including a pallet jack & forklift
• Keep warehouse and equipment clean
• Assist with keeping grounds clean
• Wrapping pallets
• Supply production lines with required components
• Use inventory system for warehouse needs
• Follow all safety procedures
• Follow all food safety requirements
• Complete Forklift Operator certification class
• Other duties may be assigned

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Ability to operator forklift / pallet jack
• Excellent communication skills
• Eye for detail and accuracy
• Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Availability to work overtime
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Proactive organizational skills

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years experience driving forklift
• Operate pallet jack

Physical Requirements:

• Repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Exposure to hot / cold temperatures
• Continuous standing / walking throughout the 8hr shift
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs
• Use tools and equipment, including knives/ box cutters, ladders, step stool, hand trucks and pallet jacks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
