What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Administration Associate position at GBC International Bank?
The Credit Administration Group (CAG) Associate is an entry level position in the Credit Administration department. The associate will participate in and learn various job functions within the department to fulfill its responsibility to manage a safe and sound commercial bank loan portfolio and operation. The associate will participate in daily tasks in the areas of loan accounting, credit analysis, loan monitoring and reporting, and additional duties as assigned. The associate will report to the Credit Administration Officer and work closely with colleagues across different functions. The right candidate should be curious and eager to learn, have a willingness to participate in tasks and projects as assigned, and a desire to evolve in a growing organization.
Essential Job Functions
Assist in daily operations in the department which includes but is not limited to:
- Process daily loan transactions
- Support loan closing and boarding
- Callback and validate loan data on the core system
- Perform monthly certifications and reconciliations
- Monitor property taxes due
- Insurance review and tracking
- Communicate with insurance agents and vendors
- Provide customer service
- Assemble, compile, and analyze data
- Maintain detailed records on spreadsheets and databases
- Credit file maintenance
- Prepare data and files for audit
- Comply with all BSA and other Bank’s training and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Secondary Job Functions
- Advise management on potential improvements of process and/or products.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by Manager.
- Comply with all BSA and other Bank’s training and procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field, or non-business-related degree with sufficient course work in related area such as accounting, finance, economics, or business administration preferred, or equivalent work experience.
One to two years of related work experience is preferred, but not required. New graduates are welcome.
