Position Title Central Sterile Technician (Days; Full Time, Great Bend Campus) Great Bend Hospital Position Summary / Career Interest: The primary responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Equipment Technician - GB are to process and sanitize needed equipment for patient care areas and the Sterile Processing Department. The Equipment Technician is responsible for the timely pick-up of soiled equipment and delivery of clean equipment from these areas. Equipment is sanitized according to manufacturers' recommendations for all equipment. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Coordinate the cleaning of Sterile Processing equipment area Demonstrates ability to provide care/service safely and efficiently for patient care. Maintain inventory of supplies needed to accomplish duties Operates the washer/decontaminator Pick-up and drop off all Materials Management equipment and deliver to correct area(s) Proactively communicates with the Distribution Manager to ensure timely cleaning and replenishment of all surgical instrumentation. Serves as the Sterile Processing representative to all Hospital units Wears protective gear while performing duties Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
