At GBH, we believe in the advantages of coming together to build community, mentor and learn from colleagues, and connect more deeply with our mission. As a result, the majority of our staff are hybrid and work both from home and onsite. Our current hybrid approach requires staff to work onsite a minimum of two days each week, every Tuesday and one other day, to be determined by their business unit. Hybrid staff are also welcome to come in additional days each week or may be asked to come in on other days by their manager.

GBH's Forum Network serves the public with free, online access to video recordings of lectures and presentations captured in the Boston area, delivered by the world's foremost scholars, authors, artists, scientists, policymakers and community leaders.
Forum Network interns have access a wide array of activities and happenings inside GBH, where they can network and learn more about all kinds of media making. The internship provides the opportunity for a budding digital media producer and storyteller to participate in some of the best work public media has to offer.
Job Overview
The Forum Network Internship will provide opportunities for students to learn about the many aspects of field recording, event production and digital media creation. The Forum Network Intern will learn camera work, video editing, and social media strategy to connect online learners to relevant, primary source interviews and lectures.

Responsibilities
- Produce and edit content to post online, culling from incoming and archived lectures recorded around Boston
- Write for the Forum Network newsletter
- Work on social media campaigns
- Develop video shooting and editing skills by covering talks from authors, academics and celebrity speakers
- Enthusiasm to create digital media (video and photo editing software a plus)
- Social media savvy
- A taste for public affairs and for learning online
- Experience creating video
- An eye for photography
- Experience with video editing software and operation of HD cameras is a plus
