Responsibilities
Maintain a thorough understanding of advanced IT infrastructure operations and maintenance, including:
- Domain/Active Directory, Security, IP Routing, DMZ, VPN, Email Routing, Wi-Fi
Knowledge, implementation, and management of:
- Firewalls
- Endpoint Protection, Detection and Response
- Data Loss Prevention
- Encryption
- SIM and similar security management tools and appliances
Design, setup, configure, and maintain complex networking and multi-server environments that support:
- Secure access
- Telecommunications
- Video solutions
- Backup solutions
Maintain a thorough understanding of LAN/WAN topologies and communication protocols, including:
- TCP/IP
- UDP
- Multicast
Perform diagnostic formulation via the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model
Configure, install, and maintain virtual management systems
Maintain network operations, software applications, and operating systems to address IAVAs and other security bulletins
Configure and deploy baseline system images for Linux, Apple, and/or Windows computing assets
Provide technical support across the company
Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage various Linux system types, including Ansible playbooks and YAML
Operate containerization and management platforms responsible for hosting and configuring systems, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
Administer system monitoring tools for collecting metrics and creating dashboards
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other technical field, or three years experience in IT operations and maintenance
Familiarity with one or more of the following is a plus:
- C/C
- XML
- Java
- JavaScript
- PHP
- Perl
- Apollo
- Tomcat
Knowledge of VoIP operations a plus
Knowledge of security risk management, tools, methodologies, and implementation to comply with NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, RMF, and ISO standards a plus
