What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier position at GBMC Healthcare?
Under general supervision but according to established policies and procedures, operates a cash receipt system to record, collect, and distribute cash transactions. Performs a variety of bookkeeping duties and closes out cash register at end of scheduled shift.
Experience:
Six months’ experience cashiering in order to be familiar with cash register functions

- Skill in basic financial analysis for bill computation, payment processing and discrepancy recognition
- Skill in written and oral communication
- Ability to perform non-complex arithmetic in receiving money and making change
- Ability to operate the cash office with minimal supervision or assistance.
Patient & Workplace Safety:
- Employee has knowledge and understanding of patient and workforce safety as it relates to job duties.
Patient Population:
- Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and applies the knowledge to meet age-specific needs if applicable.
Pay Range
$15.92 - $22.07
Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
