Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various tests and analyses on corrugated materials to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role is within and guided by the Design Team. The role also works closely in support of the production and quality assurance teams to maintain high standards of product integrity.
Responsibilities
- Perform tests on corrugated materials, including compression, ECT, DST, and caliper. Testing before and after converting.
- Analyze test results and document findings in detailed reports.
- Analysis results may aid in proper definition of paper & structural design.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to address any issues related to material quality.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new testing procedures and standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in corrugated material testing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the packaging or corrugated industry.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
