Position Overview
The Production General Laborer performs miscellaneous plant duties including direct production tasks and indirect production jobs.
Responsibilities
General Labor workers will be trained to do various positions including stacking and feeding.
Workers assist machine operators to keep the orders running and cover when the operators are out.
Performs general duties such as :
Stacking corrugated products
Conducting quality checks
Material set-ups
Maintaining, cleaning, and organizing workspaces
Responsible for correct reporting on time and production sheet.
Reports irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality problems to Supervisor.
Performs any required data collection and chart recording related to the quality process.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
Ability to operate complex machinery while adhering to safety regulations
Generally, requires less than one month to become fully competent on the job
Must be able to correctly interpret shop orders
Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
Candidates must be able to pass a background, drug screen, and pre-employment physical
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School diploma or GED required
Must be able to lift 20 pounds repetitively and up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours per shift
Overtime is mandatory
