Position Overview
Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, training, development, and productivity of the personnel on their shift.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Leading the day-to-day operations of 2nd shift in the converting department
Ensuring that employees work safely and follow all plant rules and policies.
Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management. Communicate these standards to employees.
Identify improvement opportunities and assist with problem solving activities.
Assess the performance and training of converting personnel and determine areas for improvement.
Providing training, development and feedback for employees.
Establish high morale in area of responsibility by showing fairness and consistency when working with all employees. Maintain confidentiality.
Maintain inventories of sheets, inks and other converting supplies.
Oversee quality checks including box checks in production processes.
Conduct Production / Safety / Quality meetings with departmental personnel.
Monitors and maintains housekeeping throughout the plant.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
Associates degree preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to drive change.
Ability to solve process and production issues independently.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience with MS Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
1-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience required.
3-5 years in a manufacturing environment required.
5 years corrugated experience with a strong background in Flexo folder gluers preferred.
Knowledge of KIWI software a plus.
Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
Must be available to work weekends
