Position Statement:
Responsible for supporting the marketing and practice development team in the administration, supervision, implementation and tracking of firm events, including seminars, webinars, client entertainment, other special events, firm sponsorships and sponsorship-related events that drive business development, as determined by the Director of Marketing. Additionally, the position we be responsible for developing and distributing social media content to promote and create visibility for key events and sponsorships.
The Marketing & Events Supervisor is part of GBQs five-person marketing group and will frequently work as part of a team with members of both the marketing and administration teams, as well as the professional staff. While events are the primary focus, the Events Supervisor will also assist with other practice development initiatives and special projects.
Tasks:
The Marketing and Events Supervisor is responsible for planning and executing events, including:
- Supervising internally and with third parties to schedule and execute all aspects of mixers, seminars, webinars and special events both on-site and off-site for our Columbus, Cincinnati and Toledo offices.

Manage logistical details for firm events, including:

Work with internal teams to plan and schedule topics and speakers

Oversee and update firm wide event calendar and database

Design and distribute print and electronic invitations

o Create and publish event content on external web site (WordPress & Hubspot)
- Organize and monitor invitation lists and RSVPs
o Assist with presentation and promotional materials
o Manage food and beverage requirements
o Conduct day-of duties including set up/tear down, A/V requirements
o Produce post-event/sponsorship materials including evaluation reports

Negotiate sponsorship packages and monitor execution to ensure fulfillment of benefits

Track and report monthly expenses vs. budget

Research market, identify event opportunities and generate interest

Develop social media content (organic and sponsored) to create visibility and engagement around events and sponsorships.

Other: internal communications, client surveys, promotional products

Proven 3-5 yrs. work experience as an Events Supervisor, Events Coordinator, or similar role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress and HubSpot is a plus
Work Experience and Education:
Qualifications include a Bachelors degree, as well as previous experience with event planning and execution, production of materials, program evaluation, HubSpot, and sponsorship negotiation and implementation. Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills are a must with 2-3 yrs. of social media content & distribution experience using FB, LinkedIn and Instagram channels. A minimum of 3-5 yrs. of events, sponsorships and/or marketing experience required, with professional services background as a plus. Occasional early morning or evening work is required.
