Job Title: Account Manager
FLSA Status Exempt Division & Department: GBS BrandConnect
Reports To: Director of Sales: BrandConnect
POSITION SUMMARY
Sales focused position managing current customer needs and assisting Account Executive on securing new business. Manage daily activities of current customers and look for new opportunities within assigned accounts. Assist with new customer activities focused around securing and establishing new accounts. Work closely with the Account Executives tasked with prospecting and developing new business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily sales activities within assigned accounts.
- Perform daily customer support to include: quoting, order processing, shipping requirements/inquiries, billing inquiries.
- Work closely with assigned sales professional on developing additional revenue opportunities within other assigned accounts.
- Obtaining accurate specifications from customers with proper customer approvals, where applicable.
- Assist sales professionals with managing customer inventory within assigned accounts.
- Knowledgeable in performing discovery process with prospective customers
- Knowledgeable in our customer portal (MyGBS). Required to demo and assist in implementation.
- Work with sales representative or management, when required, on any sales activities with prospective GBS customers. Activities would include such activities as discovery, analysis, creating specifications, setting up new customers etc..
- Develop a thorough understanding and the relevance of GBS products and services to the market.
- Manage time and resources effectively to meet objectives.
- Work with sales professionals and sales management as team member on major account opportunities.
- Requires local travel.
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements)
- Bachelor Degree – Business/Marketing preferred, or equivalent job experience
- Prefer two years sales related experience.
- Ability to develop Business Processes and/or Best Practices
- Strong Problem Solving skills
- Strong relationship development skills
- Ability to present oneself professionally in the workplace.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experienced in utilizing the PC and the Internet for presentation, business software, project management and all forms of communication
- Strong Administrative Project Management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
