GC Associates requires a Systems Engineer, also known as a lead systems analyst, network engineer who can also program, or software engineer who can also manage networks, is an IT professional responsible for overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. These products are often sophisticated systems that run on the web. The Systems Engineer integrates various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the development cycle of resilient software, hardware, and web applications, including specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
- Integrate various network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.
- Consider the "big picture" of projects, including technical aspects, cost, schedules, and social issues.
- Provide oversight from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance of hybrid products.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.
- Ability to manage the full development cycle of software, hardware, and web applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to consider cost, schedules, and social issues in project planning and execution.
Levels and Requirements:
Level II: ENGINEER, SYSTEMS JR.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience: 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
Level IV: ENGINEER, SYSTEMS SR.
- Education: Master's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience: 10 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
