GC Associates USA requires a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the development, deployment, and optimization of distributed relational databases and Business Intelligence (BI) systems. You will be responsible for utilizing the Microsoft SQL Server stack, including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Power BI to provide actionable insights and optimize business processes. Your role will also involve securing SQL environments in compliance with DISA guidelines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and deploy distributed relational databases and associated Business Intelligence (BI) systems.
- Manage Microsoft SQL server stack, including MSSQL, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
- Secure SQL environments in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
- Configure, optimize, administer, and develop SQL Server in client/server architecture, business object modeling, and relational database design.
- Utilize Microsoft Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:
Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline is required.
Experience: Five years of experience in the Information Technology field that demonstrate experience in:
- Development and deployment of distributed relational databases and associated BI systems
- Microsoft SQL server stack, MSSQL, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
- Securing SQL environments in accordance with DISA STIGs
- SQL Server configuration management, optimization, administration, development in client/server architecture, business object modeling, and relational database design using MS SQL Server
- Microsoft Power BI
Three of the five years should include experience in:
- Working Capital Fund (WCF) accounting principles and generating reports/OLAP analysis from WCF funding and cost information
- Leading and designing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based applications
- Implementing security requirements and understanding their impacts on overall software architecture
Substitution of Experience for Education: If an individual does not meet both the desired education and experience qualifications, nine (9) years of experience in the Information Technology field may be considered equivalent. Of those nine years, at least five (5) should demonstrate experience in relational databases, Microsoft SQL server stack, securing SQL environments, SQL Server management, and Microsoft Power BI. Additionally, three (3) years should demonstrate experience in WCF accounting principles, SOA-based applications, and implementing security requirements.
Salary : $100,000 - $155,000
