GCAC of Georgia, Giving Children a Chance is seeking a Foster Child Case Manager. The individual should be well organized with attention to detail, possess excellent time management skills, have successful conflict management abilities, have strong knowledge of child development, have an understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues and demonstrate sound documentation skills.
This position is responsible for developing a plan of care for the child while providing quality case management, direct placement services and supervision following placement of children with the agency. The individual will serve as a liaison with staff from the Department of Family and Children Services, medical professionals, school personnel, members of the judicial system, biological parents and foster parents.
An optimal candidate for this role must possess a four year bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services field with some 2 to 5 years of relevant Case Management experience. The individual should have a passion for children and be able to work cross-functionally within the organization. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a great understanding of how to work with others from all walks of life while delivering exceptional customer service.
