What You Will Do

Under the supervision of Inventory Administrator, responsible for receiving, reviewing, labeling, arranging and supplying goods, materials and equipment. Supply tools as requested. Processes data for outgoing products. Keep materials, equipment and spare parts storage areas neat and clean for better tracking and to support the performance of the Procurement Department..

Main Responsibilities

• Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports, and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.
• Tracks incoming and outgoing spare parts, material and equipment. Interacts with users and suppliers.
• Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Tracks incoming tools and temporary tool loans and consignment material Ensures that tools are in good repair and tracks tools that have been issued to departments. Maintains good communication with users and suppliers.
• Send notices to payroll for payroll deductions for employee purchases.
• Supplies materials as requested and processes data on a daily basis. Makes sure vouchers are accurate and complete. Properly code and process each item or spare part into the system.
• Receives, inspects, identifies and arranges received material and equipment and sign supplier's documentation for acceptance of same. Inspect all incoming goods, materials and equipment for specifications and condition. Label and place in correct location. Reject or return goods, materials, and equipment if they do not meet specifications.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and provide appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to employees and maintain documentation.
• Identify possible obsolete inventory. Recommends possible inventory levels and required item information.
• Organize excess material and junk sales at the request of the supervisor.
• Suggest new inventory levels and overall item information, to meet plant needs.
• Participates in cycle counts and annual inventories
• Keeps and updates stock locations.
• Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
• Pick up parts and supplies from local suppliers and deliver to storeroom; deliver various storeroom parts within the plant area.
• Will maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices, perform daily
• housekeeping of assigned area, perform daily workplace inspections, adhere to plant policies and proper use of plant radios.
• Be familiar with MSHA safety rules, safety procedures for plant mobile equipment, lockout/tagout policy, confined space permit policy, hot work policy, emergency response plan, arc flash/shock and burn protection, proper containment and disposal process (via Waste Management Plan) for lubricants, paints/solvents and other environmentally sensitive materials.
• Ensure quality of work performed, participate in continuous improvement system, observe and promote best practices, good time management and be able to troubleshoot/analyze root cause failure.
• Will work where and when needed as directed by plant supervisory personnel to meet plant needs.
  
  

Experience And Abilities You Will Need

• High school education or general education degree (GED) required.
• Prefer technical degree in administration or accounting.
• Prefer five years experience in stockroom operation and inventory control.
• Thorough knowledge of industrial type materials, spare parts and equipment inventory.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
• procedure manuals and repair parts manuals.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Prefer experience with EPR One World or equivalent inventory software, CI process and physical
• inventories.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Forklift operation certification required.
• Safety equipment and chemical handling knowledge preferred
