Theyll interact frequently and cross responsibilities with Post-Harvest Associates who handle the plant after it has been harvested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Basic plant maintenance : defoliation, topping, pruning, trellising, cuttingPropagation, Vegetation and Flowering stages of production Assist in harvest, weighing and packaging of productCleaning and sanitation of production areas and all equipment associated with productionSet-up and break down of production areasComprehend and follow all warning labels and instructions in facility SOPsLearn and use applicable trade tools such as computer software and basic garden implementsComprehend basic water quality parameters such as pH and ppmFollow established proprietary nutrient programMust stay current and adhere to all state and federal policy and regulations SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalentEntry level experience as greenhouse technician in a hydroponic vegetable production a plus!Excellent mathematics, language and reasoning skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentGeneral tool, hardware, ladder & building skillsWorking safely in a warehouse settingSelf-motivatedAbility to multi-task PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENT Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; use close, color and peripheral vision; ability to adjust focusFrequently required to walk, lift and / or move up to 50 pounds; use distance vision; depth perceptionOccasionally required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; lift and / or move up to 50 pounds; work in wet or humid conditions, in high places and outdoor weather conditions; exposed to fumes or airborne particlesAvailable to work 45 hours per week and weekends when requested We believe in building a diverse team, and we strive to make our company a welcoming space where everyone can make an impact on our successes.
