Experience and abilities you will need :
- Two years in the kiln and mill departments with at least one-year of training with the control room operators.
- Training courses provided by the company in the kiln and mill processes.
- High school graduate or equivalent desired
- Basic knowledge of cement chemistry.
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Must maintain concentrated mental and visual attention for extended periods.
- Good physical condition as position may require bending, kneeling, walking, standing, climbing, stairs and lifting; high degree of manual dexterity and coordination and good eye / hand coordination.
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check, physical examination, and drug screening in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
What you will do :
Under the supervision of the production manager and / or the shift supervisors, the control room operator must be competent to monitor the control panel and make necessary adjustments to the kilns, raw and finish grinding and the material handling systems. They must be able to perform the duties of the Utility I position and be able to work outside the control room as needed or as assigned.
