Must be bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English. Must have a minimum of five years’ experience working as a geologist in the mining industry. Knowledge of Carlson, Surpac or Vulcan software, Excel and PowerPoint skills   What you will do: Provide field and technical support in mining environmental and geological projects, including geotechnical site inspections and investigations, environmental site assessments, drilling, logging, sampling and testing quality/purity and analysis.  This position is responsible for ensuring a solid partnership between Land Management and Mining and agreement of activities (beginning with permitting through final reclamation).    Exploration programs going from regional reconnaissance to detail mapping, sampling, and opportunities evaluation (Carlin, Epithermal, Skarn, Porphyry and Limestone Quarry); property acquisitions and detailed drilling support, logging, sampling, and QA/QC. Establish and follow up at all the security and safety programs. Estimation and 3D modelling of mineral & geological resources, determining a correct mining plan based on calculated Reserves. Generate predictions of the behavior of the land available for the development of a project, through the interpretation of the mechanical characteristics of the soil and subsoil, in order to evaluate the possible responses and consequences at the time of carrying out the operations for a given execution plan. To direct laboratory assays and quality control of materials, emphasizing the specifications and technical requirements necessary for the correct execution of geotechnical operations. Manage conceptual models in the area of geology and geotechnics. Coordinate and regulate the geological methodologies implemented in the development of the projects in accordance with technical regulations. Planning, historical data collection and analysis geochemical assays integrating databases and possible short-term exploration targets Optimize performance, reduce operating costs, and improve environmental regulatory compliance in the areas of raw materials search, evaluation, Carlson implementation, mining plans, quality control, reserves and assist in quarry operation when needed. Apply all branches of geologic knowledge to conditions that affect the exploration, planning, design, construction, operation, and safety of engineering projects. Assisting in the evaluation and implementation of mining environmental investigations and remediation projects, when needed. Prepares detailed field reports and maps, interprets research and exploration data, and recommends further study or action. Technical geological and mining engineering. Creates and maintains technical documents (field logs, health and safety documentation, work plans, environmental investigation reports, remedial designs, etc.). Sample and test the mineral quality and purity to determine the feasibility of mining. Provide the information required for the mining feasibility study for new and existing properties, which is critical for mining and acquisition. Partner with the Technical Services department to test and quality raw materials and ensure proper product.  Participate as a member of the GCC Environmental and Safety Committee, when needed.
