Weekend shift hours :
Friday Shift - 12 : 30 pm to 1 : 00 am
Sat and Sun Shift - 11 : 30 am to 12 : 00 am
SUMMARY
The Mechanical Quality Inspector I use basic metrology equipment to verify that parts meet drawings and specifications. Responsibilities also include writing nonconformance reports, process transactions in the ERP system, and performing visual inspections.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Keep work area organized and clean
- Follows visual management rules
- Completes paper inspection records, electronic records, and other relevant process steps
- Basic understanding of relevant QMS documents
- Able to read mechanical drawings to determine nominal dimensions and tolerances
- Able to accurately use the following inspection equipment : caliper, standard tolerance, and tight tolerance (Deltronic) gauge pin, thread gage, and angle gage
- Evaluate cosmetic flaws and accurately to determine conformance of parts
- Can write basic nonconforming reports. Consults higher level inspectors before finalizing the report
- Laser micrometer for tight tolerance pin calibration
- Operate Keyence Optical system
