Business Analyst | Finance | ERP Expertise Needed! 📊
Role: Leading technology company are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in finance and reporting.
Contract length: December 2026 (C2C or W2)
Location: Irvine, CA - can work remotely
The role involves:
✅ Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
✅ Driving management and functional reporting improvements (e.g., fixed assets, tax, treasury).
✅ Partnering with system integrators to deliver impactful solutions.
Ideally you will have knowledge of Workday Finance or similar ERP, a strong understanding of financial processes, and the ability to bridge technical and business needs.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Management Reporting:
- Focus on project-related reporting: costs, revenues, and overall performance.
Skills required:
- Deep understanding of existing management reports.
- Ability to standardise, align, and translate business needs into technical specifications for SI.
- Facilitate conversations with end users to ensure reports meet their needs post-development.
Functional Reporting:
- Finance-related reports (e.g. sub-ledger, fixed assets, tax, treasury).
Goal:
Enable the finance team to process transactions, close books, and manage operations more efficiently. Examples include: Fixed Asset Register and Movement Reports. Localised Tax Reports
Challenge:
While Workday Finance comes with 1,000 standard reports, they’re not always holistically useful for specific business needs
Analyst responsibilities:
- Understand financial processes (e.g. fixed asset movements, closing positions).
- Determine whether existing reports meet requirements or if new reports are need
