The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT security standards, technical writing, and policy development. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, revise, and align IT security standards with best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholdersto gather input and ensure standards meet all parties' needs
- Review and incorporate Statewide Data Governance Policies and Standards into the DSSP
- Provide a final revised DSSP that includes current best practices and complies with the IT Security Manual
- Conduct privacy compliance reviews, security audits, and establish breach notification and data retention policies
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Writing, Security, or a related field
- Proven experience in developing and writing IT security standards
- Familiarity with IT security policies and technical documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve project goals
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate existing documentation and identify areas for improvement
- Excellent communication skills for clear and concise documentation
- Experience with Statewide Data Governance frameworks and IT Security Manuals
