Summary: Apply powder or other specified finish to manufactured parts per customer specifications
Essential Function:
· Operate and maintain paint guns, hoppers and booth collection system
· Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to avoid defects
· Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by visual inspection or use of viscometer
· Apply specified finish to manufactured parts
· Manage oven for appropriate temperatures within time limitations
· Perform final inspection of coated parts
· Operate forklift, pallet jack, crane, or hoist to move product
· Adhere to business management system (BMS), as applicable
· Assist with any other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of painting and powder coating processes
· Knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash, and pre-treatments
· Knowledge of part loading/hanging procedures
· Intermediate to advanced math, computer, and written/verbal communication skills
· Basic knowledge of loading and packing procedures
· General manufacturing experience and knowledge of different materials
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of paint quality and integrity
Physical Exposure:
· Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting
· Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
· Fork truck traffic
· Exposure to paint department chemicals and acids
· Exposure to paint oven heat
· Exposure to paints and powder coating dust
· Oils/solvents on materials
· Frequent repetitive arm motion
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
