What are the responsibilities and job description for the Closing Paralegal: Real Estate Practice position at GDCR Attorneys at Law?
GDCR Attorneys at Law’s Real Estate Practice Group is seeking a Paralegal to primarily support our Right-of Way Closing practice. We are a collaborative and supportive group and firm, looking for an additional team member who values those qualities and desires professional and personal growth. The position is full-time, on-site/in office. Office hours are 8:30-5:00, Monday-Friday.
Qualifications:
Candidate must:
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with real estate closings, Landtech and disbursements.
- Familiarity with right-of-way acquisitions is a plus.
- Be highly organized and detail oriented, with a strong sense of urgency to get positive results.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to be clear, concise, grammatically correct and committed to quality review of written work product.
- Be willing to complete administrative tasks, including copying, scanning, mailing, dairying due dates, and scheduling.
- Be accustomed to using technology to maintain files, and be or become proficient in Microsoft Word, Juris, iManage, Excel, and other core legal office software programs.
- Be able to maintain project spreadsheets.
- Have discipline to track and record time spent on client matters for billing purposes.
- Have integrity and be committed to doing things right for clients and our firm.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain effective and proactive communication with the firm’s clients, related and opposing parties, court staff, and internal team members.
- Track and adhere to closing timelines to ensure that deadlines are met, and progress is being made.
- Perform administrative duties as needed such as answering phone calls and organizing case files so all documents are readily accessible.
- Support other staff members as needed to ensure all clients receive an excellent experience.
