Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee air consulting, environmental compliance tools, and permitting processes to ensure adherence to all applicable regulations.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications tailored for compliance, reporting, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including reservoir engineers, operations teams, and environmental specialists to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis, generate comprehensive reports, and create visualizations to support decision-making and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on the usage of applications, data management best practices, and environmental compliance tools.
- Participate in knowledge transfer processes with the departing senior engineer to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities and critical information.
- Identify opportunities for improving data management processes, environmental compliance workflows, and overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry regulations, data governance policies, and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in reservoir and operations engineering, environmental compliance, or related technical roles within the oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in air consulting, environmental compliance tools, and permitting processes.
- Proven experience in application development with advanced proficiency in Spotfire, Analyst Platform, Power BI, and SQL scripting.
- Strong track record in leading and developing software applications for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, and experience with data migration and integration projects.
