Responsibilities:
- Oversee monitoring, administration, and recovery processes to ensure compliance with VMWare standards and policies.
- Manage the technical infrastructure and application environments, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Direct the capture and virtualization of production data, ensuring its integrity and availability.
- Evaluate server implementations to capture essential virtualization requirements accurately.
- Implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to secure the virtualization infrastructure adequately.
- Manage the encryption infrastructure for the hardware environment to ensure data security and compliance.
- Design, plan, build, configure, and maintain the virtual server infrastructure, optimizing for performance and scalability.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT-related field with a minimum of five years of experience in IT infrastructure roles.
- Master's Degree in a relevant field with three years of experience or a PhD with relevant experience will be considered.
- Active Secret Clearance or eligibility for an Interim Secret clearance is required.
- Professional certification in VMWare Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization or Advanced Professional – Data Center Virtualization is highly desirable.
- Proven experience with VMWare vSphere version 6 and higher, VMWare vCenter, and VMware vRealize Suite Cloud Management Platform.
- Knowledge of VMWare Continuous Data Protection, DBaaS in VMWare Cloud, and VMWare Aria Suite.
- Familiarity with SAN solutions, ideally Dell EMC VNX, and experience with backup solutions such as Cohesity and Netbackup.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
