Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including industrial cleaning and custodial duties, while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in commercial and residential settings, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Maintain floors through buffing and floor care techniques to ensure a polished appearance.
- Conduct thorough custodial duties such as restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete cleaning assignments efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, or custodial work is preferred.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
- Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving objects.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
