Janitorial Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, including commercial and residential spaces. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure cleanliness.
• Carry out commercial cleaning tasks in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Conduct industrial cleaning as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain facilities by performing routine inspections and minor repairs.
• Execute floor care tasks such as buffing and waxing to maintain surfaces.
• Assist with residential painting projects when required.
• Act as a porter by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and safety protocols is beneficial.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment or materials.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $16.89 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
