Job Title: Assembler (4-Month Contract)
Shift: 1st Shift - 4:30 AM – 3:00 PM, 2nd shift 3PM - 1:30AM
Job Description:
We are seeking an Assembler for a position to work in our assembly work cell environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly of automated conveyors, interpreting technical drawings, and fastening hardware to specified torque values. This role involves working with metal components and using hand tools to secure parts together, primarily utilizing nuts, bolts, and screws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble fabricated parts at floor stations according to product specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to guide assembly processes.
- Fasten and torque hardware to specified torque values.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units.
- Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels, making necessary repairs.
- Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines under immediate supervision.
- Collaborate with team members and report progress to a supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an apprenticeship or formal training in the area of specialty is preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in assembly or a related field is desirable.
- Familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the assembly field.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without significant repetitions.
- Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is anticipated.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
