Assist the broader GE Aerospace tax team with multiple tasks associated with tax return filings for income and other tax compliance including, but not limited to:
General Electric Company, Ropcor, Inc., their successors, and in some cases their affiliates, each sponsor certain employee benefit plans or programs (i.e., is a “Sponsor”). Job Description
Assist the broader GE Aerospace tax team with multiple tasks associated with tax return filings for income and other tax compliance including, but not limited to:
- State income tax compliance responsibilities related to:
- Maintaining the state income tax calendar with 3rd party service provider consisting of approximately 2,000 discrete items (e.g., quarterly payments, extensions, and returns)
- Ensure timely filing of state tax returns, including attaining appropriate signatures, preparing certified mailings, and coordinating transfer to USPS where applicable.
- Coordinate with GE Treasury Team / 3rd party payment processer for 140 payments requiring paper checks on an annual basis
- Upload copies of signed returns to GE’s Virtual File Room (“VFR”)
- Monitoring incoming mail with an anticipated annual volume of at least 2,000 pieces from tax authorities for current and historic GE businesses:
- Opening, stamping, and sorting mail by correspondence type (Payroll, Sales and Use, State Income, IRS, etc.) Redirecting to appropriate personnel as needed
- Scanning notices and envelopes, recording date of receipt and filing to digital repository and/or entering into workflow
- Follow up as needed when response relates to significant matter
- Track all state income and franchise refund requested from taxing authorities to ensure refund is received by GE Aerospace.
- The base pay range for this position is $62,600 to $93,900. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This posting is expected to close on February 14, 2025
