Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Owner of Zero-Defect Culture and Proactive Quality for Composites operations, raw material supplier processes, and direct suppliers.
- Collaborate with business leadership including key leaders at the manufacturing and supplier sites on breakthrough objectives and top-level improvement priorities
- Champion the Lean Transformation in Composites Quality operations, providing subject matter expertise on methods and tools such as Problem Solving
- Drive advanced quality tool maturation in Composites operations.
- Lead a decentralized global team of quality professionals in site-based teams and across our supply base.
- Partner with part family plant leaders and supplier leadership to drive priorities and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with horizontal teams in programs, design engineering, shop operations, product support engineering, customer teams, and extended quality organization.
- Coach/mentor team on an ongoing basis.
- Assure performance to Key Performance Indicators in delivered and in process quality.
- Drive adherence to NPI tollgates and quality deliverables associated with programs.
- Maintain strong regulatory compliance across network.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related experience
- Experienced People Leader
- Ability to travel – 30%
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an outstanding ability to interact and engage at all levels of the organization- from the shop floor to senior leadership
- Understanding of GE Aerospace quality policies and procedures
- Proven leader in driving Continuous Improvement
- Strong Problem-Solving and FLIGHT DECK application experience
- Strong program and project management skills
- Lean Facilitator / Experience
