The Manufacturing Manager - Production Supervision is responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring that production schedules are met, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC). This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the execution of manufacturing processes to ensure timely and efficient production.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Maintain high standards of quality by implementing and monitoring quality control processes.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of products.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Develop and implement standard work procedures and best practices.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and other departments to resolve production issues.
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Includes direct people management responsibility of 25-30 employees including staffing and performance development.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • Plus, a minimum of 3 years of experience in leading a team within a Manufacturing environment

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating model and/or experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities

Pay and Benefits:

  • The base pay range for this position is $100,600 – $115,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 2/24/25.
