This role will be supporting the business in the evaluation of our appliances associated with the clothes care team. The person will test units mainly within Clothes Care with a focus more on the Dryer side for regulatory and engineering tests. Personnel should have solid attention to detail along with demonstrated ability using Microsoft products to document and record results of tests and inspections. A successful candidate will be familiar with mechanical and electrical background. This role will moving heavy units from one location to another using dollies.

How You'll Create Possibilities
- Apply unique technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of appliances and related industry and regulatory standards to review test plans, develop test methods and then execute
- Apply technical expertise of instrumentation and test software to setup instrumentation and design new test fixtures to correctly apply the regulatory standard to the product under evaluation
- Prepare test documentation, review calibration reports, and build uncertainty budgets to the lab’s ISO 17025 quality policies
- Train and educate new personnel (including technicians, engineers and interns). Participate in training both inside and outside of their areas of technical expertise
- Maintain supplies, environment, and consumables to meet regulatory and lab policies
- Move engineering samples between the test area, preparation area, and storage areas
What You'll Bring to Our Team
- Thorough understanding of test equipment and instrumentation. Able to troubleshoot test setup, confirm required accuracy is met and knowledgeable of routine maintenance
- Thorough understanding of standards (UL, ANSI, CSA, and CFR)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in test and evaluation of appliances
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Attention to detail and time management skills to multitask to meet schedule
- Proficient with Microsoft office products
- 2 year technical degree or military equivalent
- Physical ability to move large appliances
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in multiple product lines or labs
- Prior experience with regulatory documentation
- Prior experience with operating and testing gas appliances
