As a GE Appliances Facilities Specialist, you’ll ensure that our Forum locations facilities operate smoothly and safely. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through regular inspections, overseeing renovation projects, and coordinating maintenance with external service providers. You will prioritize safety by leading emergency preparedness efforts, conducting drills, and acting as the primary point of contact for workplace violence and incident reporting. Additionally, you’ll partner with the security team to address heightened security concerns, represent the Forum in weather monitoring and building operations decisions, and provide operational support to the Shared Services group. This individual's diverse skills and dedication ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workspace for everyone.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Facilities Management
- Monitors the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, well-maintained, and in compliance with environmental, health as well as security standards through regular inspections on a weekly/monthly/annual basis.
- Ensures the facilities operational readiness by coordinating routine maintenance for all equipment, ensuring the safety and functionality of vital emergency equipment like AED machines.
- Drives the efficient completion of all Forum renovation and construction projects by managing quotes, monitoring progress, and guaranteeing timely payments.
- Serves as the main point of contact with Forum office landlords, addressing all leasing agreement matters and facility issues.
- Manages relationships with external service providers, ensuring a clean, well-maintained environment while optimizing costs for services like cleaning, landscaping, and HVAC maintenance.
- Facilitates emergency preparedness, conducting regular drills and ensuring everyone in the building is fully informed on safety protocols and response procedures.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for workplace violence and onsite accidents, ensuring prompt and thorough documentation and reporting to relevant departments.
- Works in close partnership with the GE Appliances security team to address and mitigate any heightened security risks.
- Represents the Forum in weather monitoring and building operations decisions.
Operational Support
- Provides reporting and operational support to the Shared Services group on an ad-hoc basis.

Educational and Experiential Background
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Prior experience working in EHS, security, or facilities management.
Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
- Working conditions are typical for an office environment.
- Must be available beyond standard working hours in cases of inclement weather, security concerns, system outages, facility issues, etc.
- This position requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
