What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Snow Removal Crew Member position at GE Outdoors?
Potential employees will respond promptly to snow events and assist in completing effective and safe snow removal throughout the Omaha Metro area. The position requires the performance of all assigned tasks in an effective, complete, and professional manner, as well as the responsibility to adhere to all policies and values of GE Outdoors while at work.
Tasks/experience required but not limited to:
- Operates a snowplow and salt truck to remove ice and snow from roads and assigned areas, which requires early morning starts, extended hours, and weekend duty, including holidays.
- Respond promptly (within 30 minutes) when called to assist in snow plowing.
- Ensure that roads under the responsibility of this position are adequately and safely plowed when required.
- Shovel snow, grounds maintenance, and other duties as assigned related to facilities and road maintenance.
- Follows all safety rules, policies, and regulations, and can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Report all incidents involving equipment’s functioning to the Supervisor(s).
