Role Overview :
This role is responsible for engineering activities associated with the manufacturing and repair processes. The role is supporting electronics repair of customer returned avionics systems, implementation of repair strategies on new products, and equipment planning / upkeep.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage engineering activities for aftermarket products, including process development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or quality.
- Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in repair processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to technicians in their efforts to fault isolate and repair customer avionics product.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure reparability of new products and design changes.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for manufacturing-related issues.
