Location : Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL

This position, which offers a blend of onsite and hybrid work arrangements, is based in Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL and necessitates a presence in the office for 2-3 days each week. An extensive corporate relocation package is also available for eligible candidates.

Lead Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading, guiding and contributing to the systems engineering efforts for Computing Interface Products Systems (CIPS) or Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) product lines. This role provides technical leadership and assistance to the project teams to insure they deliver on cost, quality, schedule, and technical goals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

• In this role you will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for Computing Interface Products Systems (CIPS).
• Manage the Systems Engineering Lifecycle for IMA and Federated computing products / technologies
• In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
• Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirement.
• Be responsible for System and Subsystem Level Design requirements.
• Define and manage Interfaces to all sub-system in compliance to the system solution.
• Work with Engineering Project Manager to generate and execute design review matrix and reviews.
• Define System Validation Plans, execute System Validation Testing, and work with Test Engineers to ensure traceability satisfies the project's objectives.
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
• Take ownership of technical concepts, solutions, risks / mitigation plans, and engineering cost estimates on proposals.
• Maintain broad awareness of technical trends to ensure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work, and reviews and responsiveness to customer / program needs.
• Lead / manage interdisciplinary collaboration with software, hardware, test, safety, maintainability, reliability and certification teams assuring "cradle to grave" success.
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
• Travel up to 10%.
