Job Description Summary
Role Summary - The PDE Designer role will review definition of parts and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance, stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, and inspection. This role will also determine dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances required for proper clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing capabilities and will execute projects.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities :
The PDE Designer supports the engineering function to perform the design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements within the PDE scope.
- With guidance, creates definition of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 2D drawings, 3D reusable models in a linked model environment, tolerance stack-ups, and various other electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, quality and inspection within expected cost, quality and schedule
- Document and communicate results of technical data generated
- Participate on teams assigned to address specific initiatives
- Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
- Effectively collaborate between organizations to assure part design compatibility
- Export tag applicable definition created by
self and responsible purchased services based on jurisdiction and exportability classifications
