About this Position

The Small Uncrewed Engines (SUE) team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Control Leader to join our fast-paced and high energy team, which is expected to deliver a new centerline engine in under 3 years. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing program control activities, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of program management principles and the ability to apply lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead program control activities for the Small Uncrewed Engines Team, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Utilize lean principles to drive process improvements and enhance program efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate program status, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in design engineering
  • Proven experience in program management, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of lean methodologies and experience applying them in a program management context.
  • Familiarity with GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating model.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment..
  • Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role will require the individual to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship.
  • Desired Characteristics

  • Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects from concept to production.
  • Experience with DOD Qualification of Weapon Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and FP&A or equivalent business launch approval process.
  • Working knowledge of CAMEO and program managing software (such as MS Project).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and lead a remote team.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, demonstrated by taking risks and embracing failure.
