Sr Staff Data Engineer

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of data solutions for Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA) programs. This role involves working with complex flight data from systems such as DAR, FDR, QAR, ACMS, and across diverse fleet types (e.g., Boeing 787, Embraer 190, and Airbus A320). You will be responsible for building robust data pipelines, creating scalable mapping configurations, and developing automation tools to streamline FOQA data processing and analysis.

In addition to technical expertise, you will collaborate closely with airline customers, safety teams, and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, deliver tailored solutions, and provide actionable insights to improve safety and operational efficiency. This role requires a blend of deep aviation data knowledge, strong technical skills, and leadership to drive innovation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

The base pay range for this position is $127,900 to $170,500. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary / commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on March 14, 2025.
