As an Energy Systems Engineer at GE Aerospace, you will develop research projects and associated technology maturation plans, focusing on enhancing GE Aerospace's capabilities in Energy Systems design, test, and integration. This role involves collaborating across teams and sites, engaging with customers, stakeholders, researchers, and engineers to drive innovation and ensure technological advancement.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Lead research projects in Energy Systems, ensuring customer alignment and guiding technology maturation plans.
- Conduct component and product integration to achieve maximum performance and operability.
- Manage product and system requirements, specifications, and flow-down processes.
- Drive validation and verification activities, including system-level testing.
- Define product requirements for modules, components, subcontractors, and partners.
- Manage interfaces between components and execution organizations.
- Drive critical-to-quality (CTQ) and risk trades within design teams.
- Stay informed on the latest technical developments and integrate best practices into projects.
- Use technical expertise for data analysis and support recommendations.
- Provide guidance and act as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate : A strategic and innovative engineer with a strong background in thermal management systems, fluids, vapor compression systems, or gas turbine thermodynamic cycle modeling (Brayton cycle / performance). The candidate should thrive in collaborative environments and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
