Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic parts, components, and integrated circuitry for engine ignition systems.
- Determine design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to establish validation approach, conduct experimental tests & evaluate results. Common skill sets include Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, Power Conversion, Magnetics design, and pulse power circuitry.
- Develops new solutions with minimal guidance, and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations.
- Serves as best practice / quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Works together with business leadership at various levels.
- Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done.
- Delivers products as part of a cross functional multidisciplinary team.
- Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational / product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
