Supports priorities for execution of Lean and other continuous improvement initiatives across the Gas Power Product Management organization. Responsible for working with the Gas Power Product Management Ops Leader, Process Excellence Leader, Product Platforms and Product COEs to implement the customer-based process improvement strategy, which impacts customer responsiveness, lead time reduction and quality improvement in line with business / functional objectives.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Implement the continuous improvement vision across the Gas Power Product Management organization in accordance with the business Lean strategy, and convert goals and objectives into delivery of of consistent, year-over-year results
  • Own the management of Roadmap progress with Visual Management and Data Management
  • Support cross-functional teams in building problem solving capabilities and leading kaizen events to ensure all operations perform in a consistent and best-in-class manner
  • Support simplification of the complex processes and manage cross-functional relationships to support business impact, to maximize productivity and driving reduction of non-value added work
  • Support the standard operating rhythms and provide key output data, metrics and presentations for reporting, operations reviews, and business communications
  • Assist PM teams in managing key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing daily management and monthly operating reviews to drive continuous improvements
  • Partner with PM platform leaders to prioritize and solve problems based on voice of the customer related to safety, quality, delivery, cost and technology through the application of Lean principles
  • Partner with the Product Management Process Excellence Leader and Lean team to facilitate coaching a vast range of team members throughout the organization and continuously developing individual and team capability in their understanding and application of Lean tools and techniques.
  • Support the PM community learning platform by providing training and preparing training material.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Significant experience in ITO or OTR operations with proven track record of results using Lean methodologies

  • Desired Characteristics

  • Experience managing cross functional projects and acting as coordinator of multiple projects (Project Management Office)
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and transform results and processes through the application of Lean techniques
  • Lean practitioner, capable of facilitating kaizen events and coaching & training the core tools such as Daily Management, structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Transactional Process Improvement and Visual Management.
  • Specific experience in reducing lead time in transactional processes
  • Proven to be effective in driving outcomes in a large, matrixed organization; understands how to navigate geographies, cultures, relationships, etc. with strong influencing skills
  • Change agent, able to make the case for Lean and demonstrate immediate impact
  • Highly collaborative person, comfortable with conflict and debate normally associated with change
  • Critical thinker with the ability to bring others along, even those with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to drive process simplification and influence others with effective communication

    For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $118,600 - $197,600 USD Annual.

    The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This Senior Professional Band position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 15%.

  • The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
