As related to customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects : responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project-related activities and resources. Owns / influences budgets and operating plans. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross-functional teams. The role has autonomy within the operational area or a segment within a larger business unit. The role may have a major impact on a small business unit or Family within a Function or P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall project strategy from project release through warranty for a large mega customer with multiple projects and product applications across Gas Power.
  • Responsible for communicating strategy to the cross-functional teams and various levels of management in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Lead a matrix team to ensure consistent execution / strategy across multiple projects in the portfolio.
  • Lead executive level report-outs to review the overall health of the project.
  • Non-Turnkey Projects or Product / Equipment-Only Projects. Responsible for overseeing the project and direct or indirect leadership and / or management of project resources for small-medium sized projects that may include equipment-only, suites of products, or non-turnkey projects.
  • Develop expertise in own function. May include roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership. Influences policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making process.
  • Leads others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and / or interdependent production cycles. Employs sophisticated operational / product management, manufacturing, or engineering techniques. Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Evaluates quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and / or complexity. Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 10 years of experience as a Project Director in the Power Generation Industry.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
  • About Us

    For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $154,800-$258,000 USD Annual.

    The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a Variable Incentive (VIC) bonus of 15%.

  • The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
  • This position will stay open on the career website until at least January 24, 2025.
