Job Description Summary
This is a challenging opportunity that involves working with minimal supervision on the set-up and operation of a variety of machine tools, shears, forms, and equipment to manufacture or fabricate separable instrumentation, test equipment, models, mockup, production parts, and their modification. This will include any layouts necessary for the machining jobs above as per blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Construct manufacturing aides as needed to accomplish machining operations.
Assemble component parts that have been machined or made into sub-assemblies when they are related or requiring transitional machining operations.
Perform complicated sheet metal fabrications, models, mockups, forms and templates working to close tolerances.
Work with metals, plastics, composites, and wood using a variety of wood and metal working equipment.
Requirements include:
High School diploma.
Experience operating all types of machine tools and/or fabrication equipment including set-up.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
