Job Description Summary
The Manager, Issues and Reputation Management will help protect the GE Aerospace brand through cross-functional collaboration and robust execution of detailed communications plans.In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting a world-class external communications team at GE Aerospace. You will drive continuous improvement and prioritization that will enable the team to have greater impact in protecting GE Aerospace’s brand and reputation. Your role will include partnering with the business units, legal, and across other key functions to manage and mitigate risks through the development and oversight of key issues communications plans.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive issues and reputation management communications plans and protocols, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities, establishing communications channels, defining roles and responsibilities, and preparing key messages and materials
- Maintain weekly operating rhythm with key internal partners to drive more collaboration and rigor around preparedness
- Draft weekly reporting for executive leadership
- Work closely with business communicators to ensure coordination across stakeholders, including providing timely and accurate information to the media, managing internal communications to ensure consistent messaging, and conducting post-communications evaluations
- Support senior leadership in ensuring the strategy and approach to long-term reputation management and short-term issues communications are well understood, shared, and implemented across the organization
- Proactively monitor external channels, including working closely with the social media team to assess key data and relevant risks and trends
- Complete other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or equivalent experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic communications
Ability to travel 10-20%

The base pay range for this position is $121,400 - 202,300. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 4/1/2024.
